Treated like trash by this pompous ***
You are only hearing how good this guy is from him and a few cherry picked patients. Google Deuk Spine Reviews and do your own homework.
I did the "FREE MRI REVIEW" and it was a tragedy. The single rudest human being I've ever spoken to. I never completed a single sentence. HE WANTED ME TO SIGN POWERS OF ATTORNEY DOCS BEFORE EVEN SPEAKING!!!
If you are not a slam dunk piece of cake easy case for his laser procedure and ready to make a committment with just seconds of consultation, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. You will be treated like trash, barked at, utterly dismissed and, at best, treated like a dollar sign.

Failed laser surgery
Ide been having severe low back pain, after seeing two surgeons and getting an mri showing I had a tear in my l5 s1 area. I had to go to deuk because my insurance wouldn't help, deuk asked me how bad my legs hurt I said none, he told me they have hurt, so I said 20 percent in my legs 80 in my back, I showed him the paperwork from the other surgeons and the mri, he noticed two buldging disc's and said that was problem, those other surgeons don't know what their talking about.
He told me his DLDR was the only way to solve my problem. The charge would be 25,000 unless u pay cash. Then it would be 24,000. I believed him,, my husband was going to anything to stop my pain,, deuk sent me over to bharat patel for an injection, he tried to give me an injection in my l3 l4, I said no that's not where the pain is, so he gave me a piriformis njection instead, June 9th I went for laser surgery, I was amazed at how good I felt, but to my dismay it only lasted a week, I went back for a follow up I was told it was my coccyx.
Why I asked thats normal after laser surgery he said, 1 month later I was back in his office with the same pain I went in with in June . Deuk ordered a caudle injection in my L3 thru L5, after being put under sedation and getting my injections I was a wakened, I sat on my bed waiting for a nurse to assist me to my wheel chair, Gary reed came over and put the wheel chair at the end of my bed, stood behind it and asked me if I was ready, I said yes and waited for him to help me, two more times he asked if I was ready I said yes, he wasn't moving from behind the wheel, I realized he was not going to help, I stood up to walk to the wheel chair, BOOM,,,, I fell forward screaming noooooo, Gary ran over to me and slammed into my left side and grabbed my left arm, my neck snapped and I blacked out, when I woke up Krystal was running across the room ,SCREAMING dammit gary, she helped Gary pick me up the rest of the way put me in the wheel chair and poured me into my truck, not telling my husband I fell, it turned out my right leg was temporarily paralyzed from the injection, two days later I was getting out of bed and my .L3 popped and warm jelly leaked out , it swelled up horribly and the shocks started, I contacted deuk immediately, he said to meet him Monday, he fid not show up, so I talked to dr Philip dimola, assuming he knew about the fall I showed him were rhe pain was, I put my hands on my lower back, he yelled towards the door stating it was my T8 T9, I yelled at him saying no it's not, he ordered an mri of my T8 and T9, I declined, I went on with my life hoping the pain would go away by October I was in severe Agony from the shocks , I did a review for deuk spine. They called me immediately and invited me back saying if you get rid of that review, we will help you. I took down the review and stated the is in my L5 S1, I went back, on the 16th of Oct, asking them to help, the fall hurt me, deuk said we will do an ablation in L3 to S1, I needed to think about it, I didn't trust him anymore Oct 21st I went to the hospital with severe pain in my neck left arm and lumbar, the lumbar showed 3 protrusions, I sent this to deuk and asked him to fix it, he said h he would for 300,000 dollars, I said no, he offered an ablation on my lumbar for 4000, I said I don't have that kind of money.
He convinced patel to charge me 1,800 I went in, the nurses noticed the blood bruises all over me, I asked what they were, Krystal said its the nsaids you take,,, I don't take nsaids, they did the ablation under sedation, one week later I had a hemorrhagic stroke than the spinal strokes started than the heart attack, I laid I. My cot DYING for three months, no surgeon would help me no hospital would help me, I was overdosed on steroids and misdiagnosed again by deuk, I now have a schmorls node in my L3 and exposed nerves and a herniation right were deuks laser went in, I had arm surgery with torn cartilage my neck has a vertabre out of line and I have three herniation in my lumbar, and blood in my T1, where Patel took liberty on me while I was under sedation, hey put an injection in t 1 for no damned reason.
I hemorrhaged so bad it destroyed my gall bladder, had it removed in emergency surgery, the spontaneous ecchymosis is so bad I can't see the sun anymore. I was a strong healthy 55-year-old construction worker, now I can barely cook dinner.

*Lawsuit Article from Orlando Sentinel*
Allegations of inflated charges for hundreds of surgeries tied to Central Florida car-crash lawsuits were left unresolved this week by the last-minute cancellation of a federal trial set to start Monday.
The trial had been scheduled for a 3-year-old lawsuit by a Lake County woman seeking to force State Farm, her auto-insurance company, to pay the surgical charges demanded of her by a prominent Brevard County neurosurgeon.
But thanks to a surprise whistleblower, the pretrial portion of the case had for the past year focused on whether Orlando'sMorgan & Morgan law firm, which represented the woman, and neurosurgeon Ara Deukmedjian had worked with each other to inflate surgical charges for many other lawsuits filed against State Farm on behalf of accident victims.
Representatives of the law firm and surgeon have repeatedly denied that allegation.
State Farm had been expected to pursue the allegations of inflated charges at trial, but the lawsuit came to a dramatic, though inconclusive, end after U.S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton Jr. ruled that Deukmedjian was in contempt because of his repeated refusals to cooperate during the many months of pretrial proceedings.
In harsh oral and written comments, Dalton described Deukmedjian as "combative and obstructive" and "breathtakingly arrogant." The doctor "displays a general attitude of being above the law," Dalton concluded.
The judge ruled on Dec. 28 that Deukmedjian would face contempt sanctions if he didn't drop his claim against the woman for surgical charges plus interest totaling nearly $100,000. On Monday, the surgeon agreed to the deal, robbing the lawsuit of its core purpose. On Wednesday, Dalton canceled the trial, set for federal court in Orlando, noting that the case had been settled.
The lawsuit stemmed from a 2008 motor-vehicle accident in Clermont. The Lake County woman went to Deukmedjian for neck surgery after her car was struck from behind.
The other driver, who was at fault, didn't have sufficient liability coverage to pay for Deukmedjian's surgery, according to court records. So the Lake County woman, represented at the time by Morgan & Morgan, sued her own insurer, State Farm, in state court in early 2010 to get additional payments from her underinsured-driver coverage.
Later that year, State Farm had the case transferred to federal court.
The case broadened considerably in late 2011, when a former paralegal at Morgan & Morgan testified in an unrelated state lawsuit in Orange County that, while she was at the well-known firm, she had observed cooperation between Morgan & Morgan lawyers and Deukmedjian that amounted to deliberate inflating of his surgical charges.
State Farm, the nation's biggest auto insurer, quickly filed a transcript of that testimony in the federal case, igniting what Dalton referred to as "discovery wars." Aided by the former paralegal's testimony, the auto-insurance giant aggressively pushed for and got financial and surgical records from Morgan & Morgan and Deukmedjian.
State Farm alleged in the federal lawsuit that Deukmedjian would not have attempted to collect such payments for his surgical charges through ordinary insurance claims.
Instead, according to allegations in lawsuit documents filed by State Farm, the surgeon performed certain procedures knowing that State Farm would not cover them. Deukmedjian then had the Lake County accident victim sign a "doctor's lien" so that the surgeon could collect directly from any lawsuit "settlement, judgment or verdict."
The company alleged that the inflated charges could total millions of dollars and involve hundreds of personal-injury suits filed from the late 2000s to earlier in this decade.
According to lawsuit documents, the insurance company was prepared to specifically challenge the need for and cost of the surgery that Deukmedjian performed on the accident victim. Gobel said in court that the surgeon was charging more than $91,000 for a 34-minute office procedure.
Deukmedjian would have been the only medical expert called to testify about the need for the surgery he had performed. To cast doubt on Deukmedjian's credibility as a witness, though, State Farm was preparing to make the case that the doctor had a standing agreement with Morgan & Morgan to inflate his surgical charges.
State Farm had devoted much of its efforts in recent months to obtaining Deukmedjian's surgical logs, which, according to the insurer's lawyers, contain "lynchpin" evidence.
The company's main lawyer, Dale Gobel, finally got those logs during a Dec. 28hearing -- moments before the judge berated Deukmedjian for taking so long to provide the records, along with other documents and testimony.
The accident victim was rarely discussed during the lawsuit proceedings. Dalton noted during a mid-December hearing that the victim's presence had become "like so much flotsam."
The judge insisted that the trial would focus on the victim and whether Deukmedjian's surgical charge was appropriate and related to accident injuries -- not on State Farm's broader allegations that Morgan & Morgan and Deukmedjian had inflated surgical charges.
"We're not trying an insurance-fraud case," Dalton said.
Representatives of Morgan & Morgan and Deukmedjian did not return calls for comment about the trial's cancellation.
In a move that limits the implications of this case for other cases, Dalton told Gobel that the "lynchpin" surgical logs could be used by State Farm only for the trial and could not be shared with other insurance companies.
While the federal case now appears to have concluded, the pending state case in Orlando, also in its third year, addresses similar circumstances and allegations.
"Thou shall do no harm"
Thou Shall Do No Harm; Back in 2014 my Father went to see Dr.Deukmedjian for neck pain.My Father had a fusion back in 1989 in Norwalk,Ct.I ask that you remember the title of this review"Thou shall do no harm".My father had his first appointment on 2-17-2014 where they recorded the patient history. They set up Diagnostic testing and results on 2-26-2014,from that they discussed all the different treatments options available. There were many times we sat in the office for over an hour and never got to see Dr.
Deukmedjian .I could never understand this; but yet I was not experiencing the extreme pain that they were going through. My Father started with the Facet block for pain management, he did a few treatments but they did not help and he WAS RE-EVALUATED after, that on March 11,2014 by Augusto Cianciabella, whom I went with my father and could barely understand what the heck this guy was saying (which many of the patients will say because they just want to be seen and cured of the PAIN) PLEASE remember those 5 words I started with.Needless to say my Father was having no success with all the treatments recommended which entailed all the"***"you see on the infomercials!I am trying to keep this short as I flip through all the paperwork! When all the other procedures did not seem to help my father, he requested to speak with DR.Deukmedjian.When they sat down to talk, Dr.Deukmedjian had no problem reviewing my Father's MRI and said he would be a great candidate for surgery and was excited my Father wanted it done as soon as possible due to he is a snow bird and would like to have it done before he headed back to Wi. My Father agreed and wanted to know how soon he could get the surgery done. My Father trusted this doctor to do the right thing.
My father jumped through all the hoops to get all the testing done before he had surgery, from meeting with the ENT to the CARDIOLOGIST,We made sure that nothing could or should go wrong....But it did!!! It was suppose to be a very simple INTERVERTEBRAL DISC,CERVICAL SPINE DISECTOMY.Here is what happened:Dr.Deukmedjian sat down with me and my mother and let us Know that the surgery took a little bit longer then projected due to they had to scrape more bone spurs and it took a bit longer. My Father originally should have been able to leave that day; BUT Dr. Deukmedjian felt he should stay overnight due to the extended surgery,he also promised to go in and explain this to my Father BUT never did.(We were just happy my Dad was Ok and left it alone)..Here comes the BULL$#!!
After my Dad leaves Florida and returns to Wisconsin he keeps up with all his therapy and X-Rays. He is told his X-Rays look great and to keep doing what he is doing. Things take a turn for the worse my father starts to experience the pain at the surgical site and it becomes excruciating,I called to speak with Dr. DEukmedjian(my father had slight hearing issues so speaking with Augusto was A MAJOR iSSUE,Which I told them to have Dr.Deukmedjian call him back ...That never happened.
My Father was airlifted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester,MN.BECAUSE DR.DEUKMEDJIAN and his office would not respond to my calls and speak with the Doctors in Minnesaota; they treated it as an infection at the surgical site WHEN it WAS ACTUALLY CANCER AT THE SURGICAL SITE!!!! DR.DEUKMEDJIAN and his staff decided not to send the "fragments of whitish, firm fibrous appearing tissue and bone.Aggregate dimensions are 4x3x1cm. NO SPECIMEN is submitted for microscopic!!!! GROSS DIAGNOSIS ONLY!!!
DICTATED BY PEDRO A CARMONA, MD.I Watched the pain my father went through and I always hoped this Doctor could help BUT he did not, it got worse and he did not respond to any of my calls asking him to Please speak with the Doctors at the Mayo Clinic. My Father had a 12 hour surgery;approximately 5 hrs anteriorly and 7 hrs posteriorly.I figured if my Dad can make it through that he will make it through anything!!!The Neurosurgeon stated that the "situation" was so bad and was surprised my Father's spine did not collapse on him:that is how badly his spine was compromised!!!
UNFORTUNATELY I AM WRITING THIS ON THE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HIS SURGERY!!!! MY Father passed away 7 months ago,I probably would not have wrote a review but when I picked up my Father's medical records from DEUKSPINE and what they wrote in their "progress notes" what a bunch o f SCUMBAGS!!!They tried to put it off as my Fathers fault because "I" his daughter did not respond to their calls; I was at my Father's bedside taking care of him and my mother because none of us expected this! AGAIN THOU SHALL DO NO HARM!!!!
I apologize if I offend anyone but my Dad was a Wonderful,Beautiful,Caring,Loving Human Being and if DR.ARA DEUKMEDJIAN followed through on making sure that the "fragments of whitish, firm fibrous appearing tissue and bone with aggregate dimensions of 4x3x1cm, WAS SENT TO PATHOLOGy,BUT NO SPECIMEN WAS SUBMITTED FOR MICROSCOPIC. "GROSS DIAGNOSIS ONLY"(Dictated by PEDRO A.CARMONA,M.D.; MYSELF, MY FAMILY,MY MOTHER WHO WAS MARRIED TO MY DAD FOR 52 YEARS, HIS CHILDREN,GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN:IF DR.ARA DEUKMEDJIAN did the right thing and sent those tissue samples to be biopsied It may be a possibility my Dad would still be here but we will never Know.....
REMEMBER Those Five Words "THOU SHALL DO NO HARM" Please seek holistic care before choosing surgery!!!!And YES I have spoken with many attorneys but the statute of limitations ran out and this is my way of giving back and paying tribute to MY DAD!!!

Not recommended!
My spouse chose this place to visit to have his back problem fixed. He was treated like a robot.
They care about the chart, not the heart. He did not have an opportunity to express his concerns or ask questions. Nor did this Godlike figure, Dr. Deuk, allow an opportunity for my husband to explain why he was seeking treatment.
I am a healthcare professional with decades of experience, and I will say that I have never seen such arrogance and lack of compassion in a physician's office. I will assume that the most important agenda is money and, perhaps even more importantly, lack of litigation.....surely they have seen their share and that is what explains the staff behavior.
Oh, BTW, despite multiple treatments, my husband's back is the same as it was thousands of dollars later....we are seeking treatment in another institution, but these people are making it difficult to even get our medical records! Would not recommend this place!

I am a former patient of Dr Deukmedjian and Patel. Run as far as you can from this place.
I had issues with billing and required deposits. His facility is all about the $$$$! I had run-ins with his rude staff when it came to billing. It's the same story with every patient.
Making money with injections that do not work. Constantly defending negative feedback by saying surgery is their last resort. How do you think his place stays in business? Definitely not funded by a weekly bake sale.
Also, do not fall for the numerous 5 star reviews. They are in fact created weekly by a marketing director. I saw a reply from the office to a former patient's negative review mentioning the reviews are fake. They responded all reviews are real and written by real patients and that they ask ALL their patients to write reviews on their experience.
I for one have never been asked to post a review of my experience. Have you? And who would ever ask such a thing! Remember this site is called pissed-consumer.
Not pleased-consumer. One last thing... Just check their Facebook page reviews.
The negative reviews are written by REAL PATIENTS. And you can also contact those former patients for more information.
